With only two entries this year, our sponsors were unwilling to help with prizes.

Perhaps the 2010 Paint it Pink season will show an improvement in submissions.  The BCB team wishes to thank all participants in this wonderful event.

Please spread the word and prepare for the 2010 Paint it Pink contest!

BCB Tournament Season Begins!

E-mail Print PDF

The Breast Cancer Brawl (BCB) 2009 season recently began on October 1st.

The Breast Cancer Brawl is a way for gamers to participate in a worthy cause while having a good time playing the games we all love.  The BCB helps fight breast cancer through tabletop gaming.  There are two parts of the Breast Cancer Brawl – the Play to Save a Life tournament and the Pretty In Pink painting competition.

Currently, the Play to Save a Life tournament only includes scenarios and rules for Warmachine and Hordes miniature games created by Privateer Press.  However, both Pulp Monsters, creators of Pulp City, and Dark Age Games, creators of the Dark Age miniatures game, are in discussion to provide scenarios and tournament events to add to the Play to Save a Life tournament.

The Paint it Pink painting event is an open painting event that attempts to bring awareness of the fight against breast cancer through the hobby aspect of miniature gaming.  Two categories currently exist: Open and Single Female.  A first through third rating will be given in both categories while a "best of show" will be chosen from both categories. Participants from all over the world are encouraged to participate in this event- if not for the glory of winning, but to help promote breast cancer awareness.

Sponsors of the Paint it Pink painting contest currently include Pulp Monsters.  The BCB is looking for more sponsors for this event.

Rules for both the Play to Save a Life and Paint it Pink can be obtained online by visiting the official BCB website at http://breastcancerbrawl.com/ then clicking the "Downloads" link on the left.

If you'd like to participate either through the Play to Save a Life event or become a sponsor of the Paint it Pink painting contest, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. More Paint it Pink Prizes

E-mail Print PDF

I've dug around in my closet and game shelves and found a box of Hobby-Que Angels figure painting kit with Love, Truth, Peace, and Mercy angels from Reaper Miniatures in it.

I'll be donating this item to one lucky person who participates in the Paint it Pink painting contest here at Breast Cancer Brawl.

Good luck to our participants!

Pulp Monsters Supports BCB and Paint it Pink!

E-mail Print PDF

Pulp Monsters, creators of the super powered pulp game "Pulp City,"  has officially notified us of their support for the 2009 BCB and Paint it Pink season. Pulp Monsters are providing prize support for both categories of our Paint it Pink painting challenge as well as supplying us with official "Pink Agendas," which are scenarios to be used during your Pulp City BCB event.

Furthermore, for all people that participate in a Pulp City Pink Agenda BCB event, one person will be invited to join the Pulp City Heralds!  Heralds are volunteers who enjoy running Pulp City events, painting events showcasing Pulp City miniatures, and more.  If you'd like to become a Herald through these events, make sure to take pictures and send them in to the BCB website once your event is finished.

For more information, please email us or contact Pulp Monsters through their website.

Thanks, and happy painting!

2009 Participating Game Companies

E-mail Print PDF

For the 2009-2010 Breast Cancer Brawl Season, we have three game companies who have said yes to giving us their approval on running a BCB event on their behalf.  In 2008 we adapted some rules to be used in some Warmachine and Hordes events by Privateer Press.

However, we wanted to increase awareness of breast cancer through other games, so for 2009 we began asking for involvement from more game companies.  Pulp Monsters who operate the super hero pulp game, Pulp City, and Dark Age Games', Dark Age based upon artist Brom's work, have both agreed to join the battle against breast cancer.

We'll keep you updated as more companies join the fight!
